Humane Euthanasia Workshop
The three-hour Humane Euthanasia workshop will be on the 14th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and will allow participants to identify and demonstrate humane euthanasia practices and how they are attainable in a farm setting. This will be accomplished with both classroom and lab instruction with rubber heads with replaceable inserts (cattle, swine, and sheep) and poultry with vertebra intact for participants to practice cervical dislocation. Brad McLeod from Olds College will be instructing the ruminant section of the workshop, while Dr. Tom Inglis, BSc Ag, DVM, Dipl. ACPV from Poultry Health Services will be instructing the poultry section.
